09/02/2018 Weekly Update

First General Body Meeting Our first general body meeting will be next week; Wednesday, September 5th at 6:30pm in NSC 225.

Our club welcomes all majors as we do professional development and fun social activities throughout the school year.

We are one of the largest clubs on campus and have a great network of alumni.

Stop by to learn who we are as a club and all the fun events that we have planned for the year! ASCE Cookout We will be having a cookout to welcome new members and welcome back our returning members on Saturday, September 8th at 5:00pm in the Davis Courtyard.

This is a great time to hang out with friends and get to know the leaders and members of the club. Design Team Info Meeting The design teams leaders will be having meetings on Tuesday, September 11th in NSC 210 ranging from 6:00pm-8:30pm to explain about what their teams do.

We have 4 design teams in our club; Concrete Canoe, Steel Bridge, Seismic Design, and Bridging the Gap Africa.

They all work on fun and interesting projects and you can learn a lot that you will not learn in class. See below for exact time range for the design team you are interested in or stay to learn about all of them! Bridging the Gap Africa: 6-6:30pm Concrete Canoe: 6:30-7pm Seismic Design: 7-7:30pm Steel Bridge: 7:30-8pm

Volunteer Events We will be holding a blood drive through Red Cross on Wednesday, September 12th. We will need volunteers to help advertise this as well as be present during the event to check people in. Buffalo Waterkeeper is an organization that cleans up the waterfront around Buffalo. We will need about 5-15 people to help out on Saturday, September 15th from 10am to noon as we will be assisting them. Stay tuned for more information about both events.
