Joint Section Meeting

The annual joint meeting with the professional section of ASCE Buffalo is on Thursday 3/15 at 5:30 at Banchetti's restaurant. There will be a panel of engineers to answer questions and talk about their careers. Dinner will be provided. Dress code is business casual. To sign up please fill out the link. Elections Nominations are open for elections on Thursday 3/29 at 6:30in NSC 210. You may use the link to nominate yourself or someone you believe is qualified. Nominations will continue up until elections on 3/29 at 6:30. Be prepared to give a 3-5 minute speech and answer questions. ScholarshipsInstitute of Transportation EngineersThe New York Upstate Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is looking for applicants for their annual scholarship. UB Thank-a-Thon We will be helping to make calls to donors of UB through the UB Office of Donor Relations. Scripts and training will be provided. Buffalo Sewer Authority The Buffalo Sewer Authority has a position open for a Junior Sanitary Engineer. Project will have construction acceleration incentive so weekend and shift work is expected. Project duration is 9-10 months. * Minimum of 2 years experience on smaller projects valued above $1 million (though graduating seniors encouraged to apply) * Basic knowledge of RFI tracking, contract document review, basic scheduling techniques, payment review and preparation * Proficient in basic computer skills utilizing Windows / Outlook / Word / Excel and scheduling applications This position is an excellent onsite experience and a chance to work alongside engineers and contractors on a fast paced project.
