General Body Meeting - Kimley Horn Info. Session and E-Week Sign Ups On Tuesday, February 11th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm in NSC 218. This meeting will include an information session from Kimley-Horn, a premier civil design and consulting firm with opportunities in land development, transportation planning, traffic operations, roadway design, structures and parking services, water resources, environmental, aviation, wireless communications, transit and intelligent transportation systems, urban redevelopment, and landscape architecture and urban planning. They have over 80+ offices nationwide and recruit top talent for Internships and Full-Time opportunities. This will be a great opportunity for those looking for internship opportunities for this coming summer, as well as younger members to get an idea of opportunities out in the field! Pizza and wings will also be provided!! We will also be signing up for this year's E-Week events at the meeting so be sure to attend! Participation in an E-Week event is a mandatory requirement for people going to regionals and nationals!!!

Blood Drive The University at Buffalo Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers is proud to sponsor our next blood drive with the American Red Cross on Monday, February 10th from 9:30 am - 3:00 pm. An estimated 38 percent of Americans are eligible to give blood, but of those, less than 10 percent actually donate each year. If you are healthy and eligible, please come out to donate. We need people to help with registration and people to donate blood; 2 hours of registration help or donating blood will count as community service credit!! High School Model Bridge Competition Volunteering On Thursday, February 13th from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Classics V there will be a High School Model Bridge competition. Volunteers are needed to help with the setup and testing for the competition, so this would be a great opportunity to earn some community service credit! In order to earn credit you must stay for the entire event. Students interested in helping at the Model Bridge Contest should first sign up via the link below, then contact Larry Mathews PE (lmathews@gpinet.com) for further information regarding volunteering for the event. ABCD, ASCE, and ACEC February Meeting ABCD, ASCE & ACEC invites you to attend the annual joint dinner on Thursday, February 13th. The meeting will consist of a buffet dinner and a presentation on Truck-Bridge Collision Analysis. The meeting will be held at Classics V in Amherst, NY. 716 Ministries Volunteering On Saturday, February 15th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm there will be a volunteering opportunity with 716 Ministries. The work will be similar to Habitat for Humanity. Ski/Snowboard Event On Friday, February 21st, the ASCE Buffalo Section will be holding a Younger Member Ski/Snowboarding event at Holiday Valley from 3:30 to 10:30 pm. The cost is $30 per person ($38 at the door). This will be a great opportunity to connect with other members of the ASCE student club, as well as members from the professional section! Friends and family are welcome to attend as well! Deadline for sign ups and payments is Friday, February 14th!! Kistner Concrete Tour On Friday, February 28th at 11:00 am ASCE has been invited to tour the Kistner Concrete Products, Inc. facility in Lockport! Kistner is a leading precast concrete manufacturer in New York State which provides the Eastern Great Lakes Region of the United States with timely cost-effective solutions to their clients. They currently employ four UB alumni, three of which are Engineers. If you are interested in a position at Kistner, feel free to bring a resume with you to the tour and they would be more than happy to take a look, as their company is always growing! Williamsville CSD Tech Competition Volunteer Opportunity The Williamsville School District's Engineering & Tech Ed competition is looking for volunteers to serve as judges for the events running at the competition.The event is set to be held on Wednesday, April 1st from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Williamsville North High School. Seismic Design Construction of this year's tower will be going on all week in Ketter 202

Steel Bridge Fabrication will be taking place in the lab from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday
