General Body Meeting On Wedneday, November 13th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in Norton 112 we will be having a General Body Meeting in which we will be having both the Historian Election, as well as guest speaker Andy Klettke from McMahon & Mann Consulting Engineers. To determine next academic year's club Historian, we will first be having the Historian election. This is a great beginner Eboard position for younger members of the club, as some of the duties include taking pictures at various club events, collecting information to include in the ASCE annual report, etc. If you are interested in running for this position please enter your name on the list attached below. After, Andy Will be discussing the importance of P.E. licensure and how to obtain it, as well as talk about Geotechnical Engineering and why to choose it as a discipline. Social Event On Sunday, November 17th we will be having a bowling social event at Transit Lanes at 6:00 pm! The cost is $0.75 per game. Job Opportunity

Clark Patterson Lee is currently looking for 2 summer interns for Summer 2020. Part time work at 20-30 hours per week is currently available. Clark Patterson Lee specializes in engineering design and planning in the Buffalo area. Any one (not looking to do structural work) is welcome to apply, but should be at least Junior status or really competent as a Sophomore. ASCE have been very successful in the past! Lafarge is also currently looking for paid summer interns interested in the construction and concrete industry. Lafarge is a global leader in building materials and serving clients solutions with innovative products. They have locations across the US, however they have needs right here in Buffalo. Please see the attached job descriptions (at the bottom of the email) for internship opportunities relating to various types of engineering. ASCE students have an increased chance of securing these internships, which have the potential to lead to full-time employment upon graduation! Steel Bridge

Machining Tutorials: Come by and learn how to use lathes, mills, and other tools in our lab and in the student machine shop on: Tuesday 6-8pm Wednesday 1-3pm Welding Workshop: Learn basic welding skills from our practitioner advisor, John Gast. Signups with exact dates and times will be sent out soon. Also, look out for GroupMe updates when the team will be in Ketter 208 this week working on AutoCAD and Inventor.

Seismic Design
