UB Bridging the Gap Africa is not a design team, rather a service-based extension of a larger nonprofit organization. Our group focuses on hands on research projects to contribute to the
efforts of the professionals and volunteers for Bridging the Gap Africa. The mission of the organization is to build and maintain foot bridges in rural Kenya. These bridges provide locals
with healthcare, education, and general safety that would otherwise be inaccessible due to harsh river conditions. Past projects have involved geotechnical and bridge engineering applications.
